random miss at idle no codes
but the intake tube looks the same.( I have sense swapped intake manifolds and resealed intake). Yeah that red tipped one belongs to the jeep dash controls. at this time their are no loose vacuum lines floating around.
but more interestingly I started the process of doing a SD tune on my stock set up and it is running way better now , still idles a bit rough but its runs 90% better.
it has a slight miss still but before it would miss so bad that it would surge.
oh and AFR is holding steady at 14.9 at idle now. for sure a step in the right direction. I think my maf might have been to close to a bend in the intake tube or something. but hey it runs better now
earlier today before I started the sd tune .I put the wide ban in Both banks and it didn't like it at all, AFR was all over the place 12-19 and running like **** lol.
once I put in in SD mode it cleaned up the fuel trims and the AFR ., I have yet to correct the intake tube to see if that makes the difference .
Thank for everyone’s help
It worked so fast. within 2-3 minutes I could tell the miss was mostly gone. I still get one or two here and there. Just wanted to update with what worked for my: Idle Misfire result. Engine ran perfect everywhere else no other issues.
Another thing. I tried richening up the mixture to 12:1, 13:1, it did not fix or help with the misfire in the slightest. This goes against the theory since the engine would stop misfiring at slightly higher rpms (750rpm+ no more misfires) which I attributed to increased injector on-time. So there is still a chance it has/had something to do with my CPS since that was also recently "messed with" as in, i changed it the day before, and i played with the wiring an hour before the misfire went away. I still pretty sure I had misfire though up until 1-3minutes after using cleaner so... tough call. For sure one or the other. I might try to re-create misfire somehow (maybe if I wait it will clog again) and re-fix with more cleaner to verify.
