Radiator fitment question (I posted this on the Firebird-specific board, but after several days it only had 99 views and ZERO answers, so I've deleted that thread & reposted it here...)
Hey guys,
Is anyone out there that can confirm whether or not a radiator from an early 4th-gen ('93 to '97) F-body will work in my late 3rd-generation T/A??
I'm asking because I'm nearly done with the LS swap, I'll be adding a turbocharger within the next few months, & I want to do occasional 20-minute track sessions on the local road course. That adds up to a LOT of extra heat, & I haven't found any 3rd-gen-specific radiators that are rated to 750 hp (well, none for under a grand, which I can't really justify). I DO have someone recommending one that's made for an early 4th-gen that isn't too expensive though, so I'd like to confirm whether or not it's likely to work.
I've checked RockAuto.com, the part numbers are different, but the sizes are fairly close (the 3rd-gen radiator is actually slightly larger). I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work, but thought I'd see if anyone here has any advice/recommendations.
