4L60E TO 6L80E Swap Help Posting for a friend. Also posted in the PCM Tuning section...wasn't sure which was best for this.
Truck is originally a 2007 Silverado 4.8/4l60e that was swapped long ago to a 6.2 out of a 2010 Escalade. Transmission came from the same vehicle, just never swapped over until now.
Main question now is what is needed to make communication happen and keep everything functional? What research has been done leads to conflicting routes.

The 2007 Silverado was available with the very similar 6L90 transmission. Maybe look into the 2007 ECM that controlled the 6L90. You would probably have to have the 2010 6L80 transmission reprogramed to the 2007 level. Putting the 2010 ECM in your 2007 Silverado maybe a bridge to far. Anyways just throwing these ideas out there for discussion.
