Default difference between van and truck harnesses / motors?

Is there much difference between the van and truck motors? I found a 6.0L out of a 2004 GMC Savana with 150,000 miles for 1500 and a 6.0L out of a 2002 Yukon Denali with 197,000 miles for 1000. I'm going to put one of these engines in my 53 Chevy. Is there much difference in the wire harnesses? I know the Denali is drive by wire. Is the van drive by wire too? They are both LQ4 motors so I'm assuming the motors are equal or am I wrong? Are the length of the wires the same in the harnesses or is the van shorter? I guess I'm trying to figure out if one harness is better than the other for my application.

2004 is probably DBC.

Harness is longer in a van for some things and shorter for others, gonna need to cut it down anyway so no big deal.

Truck motors often have a gigantic serpentine belt driven radiator fan up front - but the fan is removable. They won't have electric fans in this case but it can be added to the wiring harness including a new relay and to the tune inside of the PCM. The truck intake manifolds are also often taller which can make closing the hood troublesome in some cases . . . like my cowl induction 70 El Camino hood.

My LM7 Chevy Silverado truck motor mounts the AC compressor low on the passenger side and this might hit the frame rail. I will know more perhaps next month as I get closer to test fitting my engine.

Truck oil pans also hang lower and have a different pickup tube inside. In a car, plan on changing the truck motor oil pan to something else. Lots of choices in the aftermarket - Canton Racing Products or the Holley LS pan.

Truck exhaust manifolds may be trouble to fit.

Rick

we’re you able to identify any differences in the van harness versus silverado harness? my v6-v8 swap is becoming a headache because of the wire harnesses. thanks.
