Default 97 corvette fuel pump problem

Fuel pumps wont run only have 5.3 volts at the plug on both sides at tanks. Engine cranks and will fire if i spray carb cleaner in throttle body. Am i reading the fuel pump voltage or sending unit voltage? Pump and fuse are good.

You should have a solid 12 volts at the fuel pump for the few seconds it primes when you turn the key on. Check that your fuel pump relay is good and that it is kicking on. If the relay is working properly then I would check the fuel pump for a ground.
