Default Brake upgrade questions

I know this might be taken as posted in the wrong section but I thought since lots of folks find it necessary to upgrade brakes on a swap I'd ask for advice here. I'm upgrading the brakes on my 63 Chevy II wagon to Wilwood dynalite disc brakes on the rear as well as the dynalite big brakes for the front. Since my car has a Heidts clip and a different rear end I have thought about running new 90/10 copper/nickel 3/16" tubing and forming to fit verses buying a pre bent kit that likely won't fit. I'm looking for advice on tubing flare tools etc. I don't mind paying for a good tool but hopefully not break the bank doing so. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I bought the Eastwood tool and it woks very well. I did the same on my '55 and just bought a roll of NiCop line and did them all myself.

ETA: this flare tool https://www.eastwood.com/professiona...ring-tool.html

Volvo has been using that stuff for brake lines -- well, I think they were the first automotive to embrace it for all their stuff. Works great. Easy to shape, won't corrode, no work hardening to worry about (as with copper or alum). The good news is that because it's so much easier to form than steel/stainless - the quality of the bending and flaring tools isn't that critical. Like squarles, the Eastwood stuff seems to work just fine. Over the years I've used for fuel line, brake line and high pressure power steering. BTW -- it polishes up to a nice half way between bronze and copper color that looks......unexpected.

Blue Point TF-528-D

I have the above Ridgid at home, And the Blue Point at work.....Both work great. I'm able to work quicker with the Blue Point. Both run @ $100.

The NiCop really does bend easy and look good. It will also seal better because it's a bit softer.

I got the fittings and other stuff off Amazon, including the spring looking line protector.

I use the MasterCool 71475 but I believe the new version of the same is part number 72475. It's an excellent tool, it's completely self contained for use on the vehicle if necessary and I use mine for brake, fuel and transmission lines.

I have also been NiCopp for everything the last few years.
