ls swap with a 4l60e Hi im doing a 64 impala 5.3 ls and 4l60e transmission, i need to know what i need to do to get for this 2 to work correctly. i have the engine harness and also the transmission harness which came out of a 4wd tahoe. i need to find out who can flash computer and what else i need to do. thanks for your help.

If you have the full pullout engine and trans, the computer side of things should be a snap. You'll just need someone to flash out the VATS system, and probably adjust gear ratio/tire size so it shifts properly. Maybe turn off catalytic converter codes if you arent using them.
BUT, since you have a 4wd 4l60e, you'll need a complete teardown and rebuild in order to be able to change the output shaft to a 2wd unit. You'll also need a 2wd tailhousing.
If you have it apart, you should really do some basic upgrades. What year is the tahoe combo?

Your driveshaft will also likely need to be shortened and the front yoke probably changed depending on what the vehicle had for a transmission before. Your trans cross member might also need to change.
Engine mounts? Probably also need to change. Your 5.3 exhaust manifolds also might not work in your vehicle - headers might be needed.
