Wiring 2-Post Main Power Switch

Wiring 2-Post Main Power Switch I have a question that might figure out my backfeeding issue. I started the car for the first time this week and everything went as planned until I tried to cut the power and it wouldn't shut off at the switch.
With a 2 post main switch, does the alternator go to the hot side or switched side? I currently have it on the switched side since that's how it was when I purchased the roller and I think the alternator is keeping everything charged when I flip the switch and not killing the system.
