TH400 and e38 pcm?

TH400 and e38 pcm? Who's solved e38 A6 OS for using TH400 or manual trans with no BCM or TCM?
Long story short...fought an A6 operating system in a swap truck with a th400 trans. it's an 09 PCM but, I flashed an 08 manual OS onto it and they were incompatible, rendering my pcm useless.
I have a 2010 A6 Camaro E38 pcm but, don't want to spend another $200 worth of credits to license my pcm and the M6 tune too.
Has anyone solved the e38 A6 tunes but running a manual trans or older th400 etc?

I have e38 from an '07 Silverado LY6 originally for a 6L80E, now with a TH400. I tried using a dakota digital VSS on the TH400 but the E38 ignores the signal; I think it's wanting the VSS to come over CAN bus from the transmission/TCM. The swap runs well but I can't get rid of the check engine light due to not being able to do a case learn due to not having a TCM. My tuner used HPT and could not find a way to get it to read the VSS directly. Speed still shows 158mph. I understand it might work if I wire in a TCM but that seems silly just to get the speed signal to work.
Definitely interested in any solutions to this problem. I don't think I can run a manual OS because I am using VVT.

If you are running a manual E38 tune the VSS goes directly to the PCM. If you are running an auto it goes through CAN BUS if IIRC. If you look at the wiring diagrams for a LS3 and L99 Camaro they should be different.
We did a 10 Camaro that had a FMVB 4l80E(no electronics) and that's how I had to do it to get the speedo to work.
I will say that the car did still have a BCM but it was flashed to a manual VIN but that was so the rest of the car would still work.
