Default LS swapped k1500

Hi guys I'm new to the group and I'm looking for any help I can get! So I have my 89 k1500 that had a 350 and. 700r4 trans well I took them out and dropped in my 5.3 with my 4l60e trans and with the motor mount bracket I got (dirty dingo ) they're on all the way forward and when I dropped my set up in my trans mounts bolts are about inch and a half away from the cross member holes. What am I doing wrong why won't these line up ? Thanks in advance !

The dirty dingo motor mounts will put the motor in the same bellhousing bolt up location so the lS motor can bolt to old trans without moving anything. I think your issue is that you changed the trans as well and the newer trans has a mounting location that is moved 3/4" from the old 700r4 you had before. The good thing is that the trans overall length is still the same so your driveshafts should be in the same spot. Can you drill the frame for the new crossmember location?
