Gen 4 V6 to V8 Conversion

Gen 4 V6 to V8 Conversion I am not sure if this is the write place to post, but I am looking to see what is involved in converting a V6 to V8.
Reason is, I have a 2000 auto/LS1 that I have been building for drag racing that unfortunately was wrecked. I can salvage the drivetrain but the body is destroyed.
I am finding that there are many more, cheaper, clean hard top V6's out there.
As mentioned I have the entire drivetrain, I can still salvage the engine wiring harness, just not sure if there are any major pitfalls that would make this unfeasible?
