NPT port for IAT sensor?
NPT port for IAT sensor? I'm eyeballing this to use for both my IAT sensor and vacuum line hookup for catchcan.

Hesitant because it says its good up to 3". I am running a 4" (102 intake). Has anybody used this on anything larger than 3"? I'm guessing they limit it to 3" dia for sealing issues but wonder how bad it would really be on a 4" silicone section.
Does anyone know of anything else that is available? I guess my other option is to have a couple NPT bungs welded onto an aluminum straight section but that would be plan B as I would not be able to weld that myself.

i had a turbo civic years ago that i had to add a vacuum port into the aluminum intercooler piping. all i did was drill and tap the thin aluminum pipe for 1/8'' npt and put a little liquid thread sealant on the fitting. i never had a problem with it. i have used a similar fitting like the one in your picture on radiator hoses, which also worked good. it looks like the radiused washer on that fitting might not have the right angle for a bigger pipe. but i would think that the washers would dig into the silicone hose enough to seal it.
Yeah, that'd probably work. I can use some rubber washers to help seal it and put a dab of epoxy on the nut so it doesn't come apart. This really doesnt need to be overengineered. I ordered a really inexpensive kit from spectre that I should be able to use for the vacuum line.
