PCM Placement Hello all,
I am about to tear into my project and would like to get the wiring completed. I have read, watched and ordered the parts needed from lt1swap.com. Thank you Brendan for having this information readily available. My question is where will I be able to place the PCM?
Will I be able to use the method in the video to put it inside the car on the firewall?

A lot will depend on your wire lengths. For me, I'm going to try and bolt it onto the inner fender sheet metal but below the outer fender metal. This will keep the PCM and its associated wiring protected and away from engine heat. For my OBD II connector, I'm hoping to fish it into the glove box and the Check Engine Light(CEL) LED will find a spot on the dashboard. I may try to let the Dakota Digital HDX dash that I intend to buy handle the check engine light if that is possible.
Its easy to add wire to the CEL, a little harder to add wire to the OBD II connector but I'd balk at adding wire to the PCM harness.

Depends which harness you have. If its OEM, you need to wrap it around the engine then let the harness dictate. This is a major downside to running a used harness
If you dont have one yet and wish to order a new one built to suit, mount the PCM where ever and measure to one corner of the intake. Tell the harness mfr the length and enjoy
