WOW......I'm in the tail end of a 1970 Olds 442 6.0L LY6/T56 swap myself.
So I might have to inquire more about your swap as I get time. Looks great.

That HPI frame support / brace kit has to be welded into your existing frame or bolted ???
Any issues with the T-56 mounting and having a good driveline since you're NOT using the Hooker trans bar ?

Yes the HPI kit has to be welded in. I didn't have any issues mounting the t-56, the HPI trans bar is slotted, it can slide back and forth 2.5 inches.

The driveline angle is good too, since it sits at about the same level as the stock trans xmember.

When I installed the aeromotive tank it was tight fit so I went with an access panel in the trunk to make servicing the pump easier.

I also found a Monte Carlo dash on CL that I'm going to use instead of the sweep dash. The Monte Carlo dash had a lot of holes left from the woodgrain cover and I'm not an old radio so I modified the dash.

I wanted to run a modern center console, with cupholders and space for a double din radio. While at the local pick and pull, I found out of an Acura TL that looked like it'll work in the Chevelle.

Later I found a different version of the console that came in a 6 speed manual cl that came with a hand mounted parking brake. It didn't take much to modify my console to fit the the different cupholders and hand brake. I used lokar parking brake cables to finish the swap.

I don't have one yet but I plan on using one from a mid 90's chevy truck with a manual floor shifter. I know that one from a S10 will work perfectly.

Do you have any other pictures of the dash modification process? I have a MonteCarlo dash that I'll need to modify some (Also running a newer center console in my car), but I still need to fill in the holes, and make some changes. I'd appreciate any insight.

No, I didn't take any more pictures of the dash, but here's what I did.

For the radio and wiper holes I cutter a piece of scrap plastic to fill in the holes. I used superglue to hold them in place. After the glue dried I taped the front with painter's tape and I filled all the gaps and holes with sem rigid plastic repair.

After that regular sanding and a little filler, I used sem rockergaurd to re create the texture.

I found some cheap 5.75 LEDs that I plan on running, they're pretty bright and they have a decent cut-off. I had to cut a lot out of the radiator support to get them to fit.

I went with Dakota Digital HDX gauges, I had my mind set on speedhut gauges before these came out.

DD's HDX guages are bad ***. Looks killer !!!
They even have a tire pressure sensor option too. Talk about all the OEM features. I think ALL gauges should have that option.
