Lsx swapped 94 z obd II

Lsx swapped 94 z obd II good morning in the middle of swapping my engine and trans in to my 94 z now I’ve just gotten to the wiring portion and I’m a little confused, I’ve searched high and low but I cannot find an accurate answer so here we go, now my Camaro is currently obd1 now in order for me to swap it over will I need to change my wiring under the dash or will I be able to simply just cut the obd1 port from under my dash and install the obd2 port with the wiring running to the correct pins ?
