Default pictures of wiring harness connectors

Hey guys,

I've got my wiring harness laid out on the dining room table. I'd like to label what each end is so I can lengthen/shorten the wires as needed. I have seen pictures online and in videos that mention what the connectors are, but in all the pictures they're too small for me to know for sure which one they're showing. Does anyone know of a resource that clearly shows what each connector looks like?

(man this harness seems overwhelming)

Thanks,
Brandon

This is the way that I started to try to do it as well. Didn't shake out too well for me after hours of online searching. I figured out, at least in my limited experience, just using your pinouts from the ecu connectors is the best route. This will give you more peace of mind knowing you don't incorrectly cut something based on connector look, etc.. I "thought" I had a handle on things pretty well and still ended up cutting the front HO2 sensors off instead of the back ones...luckily quick catch and repair. Best advice, from someone who is still working through one is to take it really slow, make sure you have your EXACT wiring harness pinout, not one that is close and just start working through it. There are a few folks that have charts that will give you a general guide of what you can cut out, etc.. just make sure that it fits your application and don't cut until you know you are not going to need it. If I would have purely follow some others guides I would have cut things that I am going to be using.

I know that is not the answer you were looking for, but I really pushed for this approach and ended up disappointed after hours of fruitless searching. Good luck. I am trying to wrap up my harness now, ironing out a few details with neutral safety switch, etc... so I know it gets a bit intimidating.

Thanks for the response. I understand what you're saying. It's frustrating knowing I'm most likely about to make mistakes that I'm going to wish I could go back and have not done.

Read lt1swap.com thoroughly. If those pictures are too small for you, you need a bigger monitor.

most of the connectors are unique and only fit the intended sensor so you should be able to figure out many just by seeing what plugs in where and then verifying the wire colors on the connector and a continuity tester on the pcm end. once you find one, its easy to figure out what some of the others are in the vicinity since the leads will only reach so far

i'm sure you could post up some decent pics of the connectors and we can narrow things down a bit if you're stuck/overwhelmed.

fyi when making the harness standalone, you don't really have to take it completely apart if you don't want...you can always just clip the unnecessary connectors where they branch off, making sure to do something to the ends of the wires so they don't short out or something. might save some time/effort to just get things up and running... it does clean things up and eliminate alot of wires to take them completely out of the harness though.
