Default MLPS/ Park Neutral Switch Wiring

I've sent some time searching and reading and have found conflicting info so I spent some time with a meter today and this is what I found. I have a good source for schematics but I couldn't find exactly what I needed regarding the park neutral switch. I had 2 dark green wires that went to the C1 connector. B2 to pin G on the 7 place plug and F11 went to pin F on the same plug. I had a schematic that showed me the Lt Grn in pin B was for the shift interlock. I also knew that the 4 wires in the other connector went to the PCM. I found that the pink wire on pin C powers the shift interlock Pin B in park AND pin F in reverse. This would lead me to believe that pin F could be used to activate a relay for backup lights or power them directly if using LEDs. The other pink wire on pin E connects to pin G in Park. This is the start relay trigger. My start circuit schematic was mislabeled with G going to F11 on C2 but should be C1. NOTE: I found no provision for start in neutral on this switch from pink to anything else.
In conclusion if my column has a neutral safety switch and no modern shift from park interlock I can eliminate 3 wires. If I use a shifter with backup light switch or put them on a toggle switch I can eliminate 2 more from that wad of wires coming up from the tranny. I hope this helps someone.

Pins E and G should have continuity in both park and neutral. If you are only getting continuity in park, then I would think either your switch isn't adjusted correctly or its just bad. Also, you don't need a relay for the back up lights, the factory ran them directly through the switch. I personally prefer the trans mounted switch as it tends to be more precise than one mounted on the column because when the shift linkage gets any looseness in it you have to sometimes fiddle with the shifter a bit to hit neutral to start and reverse for the lights to come on.
