Smoked my MAF 
Long story short, I hooked my MAF that came with my L9H (2009 Escalade) and it smoked it. After some research i dont think it was the correct one. First question should it have shorted it out if it was the wrong one? Second, what do I need to check? I am afraid I have damaged my ECM. The pic is the MAF sensor and the arrow is what was smoked. I verified my output on my pins.
Pin A - Low Ref (I assume ground) which it was
Pin B - IAT - 5V verified with key on
Pin C - MAF Signal 5V verified with key on
Pin D - 12V Ignithion verified with key on
Pin E - Ground verified with continuity test.

It could have. The pin outs might not be the same. If the wires are reversed it is entirely possible this could happen. Get the pin out for both and see what the difference is in pin location...that should tell the story...
