Questions about testing firing engine on a stand...
lol sometimes this site is just dead. This forum seems to be one of the more active ones.

I did use a radiator / coolant, so I was able to heat up the engine and look at parameters with the scan tool while running. If you run with no belt you can run with no coolant, but I wouldn't run it for more than a minute. It really helped me learn about what I needed to connect (especially when I missed some of the connections). I didn't run with a transmission though - if your driveshaft is in, you should be OK, but I'd wonder about putting tranny fluid out the back if there's no driveshaft plug.
My next step is to plumb in the twin turbo system on my stand. Because why not.
