4160e 2nd to 3rd problems

4160e 2nd to 3rd problems 2005 chevy 1500 4 wheel drive 5.3
came home truck was fine,went across town and on my way home stopped at a red light,leaving the light the transmission shifted fine 1st to second then there was no 3rd gear shift?drove home slowly.looked at a few things online that would do this i ordered new shift sconileds took my book out to see how this was to be done.then replaced .drained all the fluid and filter.same problem
