Swapping a LS1 in a 93 ford ranger
Hello everyone this is my first LS build and ive decided to put a 5.7 LS1 from my buddies 98 camero in a 1993 ford ranger(i understand a s10 would be easier but theres reasoning for using this certain ranger) its a 1993 ford ranger, it was previously swapped with a 5.0 mustang motor. But that has been pulled already. Looking mainly for how to do the motor mounts and if i should go with a 4l60 or a 4l80?

You didn't get the tranny with it? Would have been much easier.

I meant the tranny for the LS. A 4L60E will work for the LS1, but get it rebuilt with good quality HD parts.

I put a 80e behind the lm7 in my 2000 f150 they are stronger than 60e. but larger so if you have the space go 80e.
i modified the stock mounts but some people use 4.6 mustang swap mounts. not sure if this will work for you since it had a 5.0 in it but i would look at foxbody swap mounts.
a21bravo swapped a lq4 and 80e into his ranger and did a good job of explaining what he did.
