Default Shiftworks column shift for 4L80e....

I installed it, and have been adjusting it, but can't seem to find a place where, It will go into park, and still get the lower 2 gears. This is in a 68 chevelle with factory column shifter.

I think you now have more gears that the factory design. On my application I had to shorten the throw to get the detents to match up with the indicator. To do this the lever on the trans is, in my case, adjustable.

Are you using the stock lever that attaches to the selector shaft coming out of the transmission, or is there a new lever that comes in the Lokar kit that you are using? The stock 4L80 lever is too long for most shifters to provide enough travel through the arc swing to engage all the gears on a 4L80. You need to figure out the required travel that the lever needs and modify the arc distance of the lever as needed. The last time I did it, the lever needed to be shortened about 1/2” in the middle to get the distance between the shaft attachment hole In the lever and the cable attachment pin on the other end the proper distance apart.

Using a Shiftworks universal kit for 4L80E, comes with arm for transmission. I spent hours adjusting it last night, just can't seem to find a middle ground with it.

Alright, after looking at it, and kinda of stepping outside the box, the answer was pretty clear, the linkage was binding, and not allowing it to travel the way it should. I made a small bend in the long arm going from column to transmission and, it after a few adjustments, it worked like a champ!!!

Was going to ask if you’re using the rod style or the cable. I’m also using the rod. When it hooks hard, it pulls my 80e down a gear, even with solid motor mounts. 99% of the time it’s when I’m making a pass at the track. Was way worse with worn rubber motor mounts.
