evaporator core fitting stripped

Hello all,

I was attempting to install a new accumulator and ended up stripping the threads on the evaporator core fitting. Is there any way to get a new brass fitting on there or am I going to have to get a new accumulator?

There's no way to change the fitting, so you most likley will need a new evaporator.

I noticed that use are using a later model caprice condenser. The later models changed to metric fittings. If you used a later model accumulator, it would have metric sized fittings. Maybe close enough to screw in and strip.
