1948 Studebaker ,LS-3, TR6060 Conversion I am just starting in on an running gear swap on my 1948 Studebaker Business Coupe. I bought a complete LS-3 ,TR6060 pullout from a 2010 Camaro SS. So far I am just working on the basics of getting the running gear to fit in the Studebaker"s engine /transmission bay.I put a Moroso front sump oil pan on the LS-3, and Trans Dapt universal motor mounts on also. I think these are going to work,although my first failed trial fit of the running gear made me realize I need to remove the front clip(to make future attempts easier),which i am in the process of doing now.I am sure I will have many questions, My vision for the car is the ultimate sleeper,so other than the running gear, I want to keep as close to factory as practical. I would like to use the original rear differential with stock street tires , Given the 300hp difference between the LS-3 and the stock flathead 6,. will this work ?
