Default Interest in a CD009 SFI belhousing

Hi all, first post here. I have a gen 4 5.3 and I've reached out to QuickTime to have a bellhousing to have a steel SFI approved bell housing made to mate a LS to a Nissan 350Z trans. While it isn't a firm quote the initial price for this item would be around $1000 per unit after the original is built. I am not a vendor and I am not trying to advertise for profit, any money changing hands would be between Holley/Quicktime and the purchaser. I'm spending a lot of my own money to make this available as an off the shelf part available through them. Anybody who is interested please respond here. I'm just trying to show some interest in the market to the company. Thanks mods and don't hesitate to contact me if you have any issues or requests.

See this post. You have to consider the gear ratios and the differential ratio.
After all is said and done, you'll probably have more money in it than a T56 or TKO.

For swaps the T56 Magnum is easier for a variety of reasons and I hear they shift very nicely. The Magnum is basically a TR6060 internally.

I finds this to be one of the t56's more redeeming qualities.

It depends on what you have. We don't all have 3.42 gears, so there's a big difference if you have 2.73 gears. A .78 overdrive in sixth gear is quite nice for me.

If you're starting with a 6 speed LS car then you already have the bellhousing, clutch, trans mounting, sure. I don't have a bell as my LC9 is from an auto truck. Most people swapping things these days are using truck engines and don't start with everything, or anything T56 related. With a T56 I would need a $700 SFI bellhousing.

I can get a used CD009 for $500. If the bell is $1000, that still puts me $1000 under a used $2200 T56 and even a $300 stock bell. I can get a brand new CD009 for $1600. That's half the cost of a new T56 for a trans that is arguably better.

You can make up your own mind about whether it's right for your application or budget but for me it's a no brainer for a low buck drag and hillclimb project car like mine.
