Default LS Oil Pan Mod / S10

Anyone modified a stock LS oil pan to fit an S10, specifically a sec. gen. 4wd?

Yea it's been done by a few of us google awd turbo s10 the awd build thread shows how to clear the 4x4 front section

If you are going to lower the front diff (as some lift kits do,) do that before you mock up the shortblock with (truck) pan.

Still surprising that nobody has mass produced an oil pan for this swap, maybe Holley should take a poke at it...

We’ve yet to tackle the 4wd S10/Blazer LS swap, so I’m clueless as to what the design space for that application looks like. The Holley oil pans are designed during, and as part of, our swap system development efforts, so if a new pan is needed for this application it would happen at that time.

Thanks, guys. Mildon and Canton make a swap pan for the S10 4wd. Starts at $300 and goes up if you buy the add-ons. I had much rather use the stock alum. pan but was hoping to find some that had already done it with a set of measurements. I don't want a lot of down-time on my swap but don't mind saving money where I can. I have a 2003 S10 crew cab 4wd LS which is lower than the ZR and I don't want to raise it.

An AWD Sy/Ty has a lower ride height, but mounts the diff. the same place; lowering the diff. without lifting an S/T truck shouldn't present problems with shaft angles.

As to how much you need to drop it to clear the pan, please let us know.
