Not for me but for my buddy. He's been checking out my project build. I'm putting a stock 08 5.3 LMG and a 4L60E in my 65 C10. I'm going to rework the stock wiring harness and get the ECM reflashed. He's decided LS might be the way to go for his project car and he's looking for possible donors. He's watching insurance auctions for a donor vehicle. Probably a truck or SUV because they are more plentiful. Ideally he'd like to get everything from the donor vehicle but if he ends up with a 4x4 he'll need to buy a separate 4L60E. I'm wondering if newer model vehicles are a possibility? Up to 2013? Is the support there for reworking the harness? Pinouts? Can the newer ECM be flashed to run a 4L60E?
