I need help with my 1964 impala Hey everyone its my first time in this site I need help I have a 1964 impala 4 door and I'm looking to put a more dependable engine I thinking a 5.3 .I would love to do the ls1 or ls2 but I don't have much money I'm trying to do it as cheap as possible can anyone help .....and what am I gonna need ...and around how much am I looking at ..........I found a 2002 Tahoe with a blown tranny for 1200 ..........one last question will the 2 gear powerglide work if I buy the adapter for the flywheel with the fuel injection system... thanks for ur help
$5K doing all the work yourself would be a realistic budget,chances are you would be better off just freshening up your tired engine. There are hundreds of pages of swaps on those Chevies here and elsewhere,start searching and reading...
