Default Fuel Pump Wiring Help

I will preface by saying that I am completely wiring illiterate. I have my LS Swap ready to go, but I can't get the fuel pump to kick on. I'm using a Racetronix 450LPH pump with a FWHP006 hotwire kit. The engine and trans are controlled by a stock truck harness and a P01 PCM.

-The fuel pump works on direct power
-Multimeter shows power into the relay, but not out of the relay
-Relay configuration is not interchangeable due to a clip on the relay and harness
-Vats have been disabled in the PCM
-The Fuse and Relay appear to be in good condition

My next step would be to buy a switch and wire the fuel pump directly to the switch, but I'd rather not if I don't have to... Can someone with wiring knowledge point me in the right direction?

A current wiring "diagram" that was poorly made in paint is below.

Is your relay clicking on with key on? without the pin numbers on the diagram it's hard to say if it's correct or not, but all the wires are in place. Start with checking for 12 volts on the green from the PCM. This is the signal wire to pull the relay in. If you do not have voltage there then disconnect from the PCM and apply 12 volts to the green on the relay to turn it on. If it turns on then it's not getting the signal from the PCM.

keep in mind that the signal wire for the fuel pump to activate the relay is only on for a short time until the engine is running...this can make it difficult to confirm voltage at the pin 9 wire out of the PCM if you are doing it by yourself...

I thought the PCM generated a ground for the fuel pump circuit, when it deems conditions are right to do so, not 12V+. No?

To the OP - I'd sort this out and NOT put the pump on a switch for safety reasons.

Yep, the PCM supplies 12v for 2 seconds or so for fuel prime. You must be thinking the cooling fans. They use a ground trigger from the PCM.

Thanks for edumacatin' me -- I did assume it worked like the fans. Combined with the old EECIV Ford units, which supplied a ground for fuel pump.

Thank you all! I ended up using a switch temporarily to make sure that the relay was good, and it was. I did a few more hours of troubleshooting and eventually ended up swapping the stock 98 Sonoma fuse box for a 99-02 pickup fuse box, which solved my issue with the fuel pump! I have a lot of other wiring to figure out now, but at least I know I have fuel!
