Default New to 5.3 swaps

Hello I am new to all of this as far as 5.3 swaps . My current project is a 5.3 out of a 2008 Tahoe. Into my l601993 GMC k 1500 . I have everything Done but the wiring. I have the fuse panel, pcm,engine wire harness,pcm with security system programed out and licensed, . from the Tahoe . The 5.3 is installed in the k150) motor mounts done ,drive line done, exhaust done. I bought a fuel pump for the Tahoe and need some suggestions. On how to get that setup going should I use the housing from the k1500 and just add in the pump ? If so which high pressure clamps work best . In regards to the wiring I really need some help here . Anyone who can give me step by step instructions on what I need would be greatly appreciated. I have a tac module , peddle,and harness from peddle to module . I can't find the plug to tie the tac module into the pcm. What options do I have ? Also what should I use for relays and fuses under the hood ?? Really need info on every thing needed to make the thing drive oh yeah trans is the 4l60 e from the 08 Tahoe . Please help this is my work truck and I do need to get it going asap thank you very much your help is greatly appreciated

I really hope you are kidding about this being your work truck because there is nothing fast or very easy in an LS swap unless you have done an LS swap before.

Have you been to the LT1Swap.com web site? Lots of good stuff to read there. I can't answer your fuel tank or fuel pump question because my guess is that a Tahoe fuel tank won't fit a 1993 GMC 1500 truck. I used a fuel tank and pump from Tanks, Inc and a pump regulator from a Corvette.

I used a PSI engine harness for my 5.3 because my original 1999 Sierra truck harness was too damaged. It had fuses and relays built in.

You will likely need to adapt your transmission crossmember and shorten your drive shift to get your 4L60E to work.

What are you using for motor mounts? Will you have good driveline angles towards your differential?

What motor and transmission did you have originally? My 87 trans am that I swapped was a tpi 305with a 700r4 and all I had to do was by the generic sbc to ls mounts and change my crossmember. Stock length driveshaft fit too. I assume your truck was a tbi v8 so you should be able to buy something like a walbro 255 fuel pump to fit in your stock setup. Also I'd just get a Corvette filter/regulator, that's just going to make everything easier for you. As far as harness goes, holley just came out with a nice setup called terminator x or you can do anything from reworking what you have to any of the other companies selling just a harness. Anything other than the holley setup you'll have to tune out vats and emissions stuff.
