Obd2 port wiring ls3 For future searches on this:
X1 pins 27,28 to obd2 port pins 14,6
Pin 4 & 5 - GROUND - Usually only pin 5 is needed, however some scan tools/code readers will need GROUND on pin 4 as well.
Pin 16 - 12v+ BATTERY - Power from 12v+ Battery source.

The OBD II ports for all OBD II vehicles should be identical. Otherwise, how could any plug in code reader on those ports know what's what? This kind of thing has to be standardized. Find the pin out for any OBD II port for any vehicle and you will be OK.

So just follow this:
Pin 2. - Serial Data - FROM the PCM.
Pin 4 & 5 - GROUND - Usually only pin 5 is needed, however some scan tools/code readers will need GROUND on pin 4 as well.
Pin 16 - 12v+ BATTERY - Power from 12v+ Battery source.
pin 19 on the X1 pcm connector is called “serial data wake up wire”. I can’t find a wiring diagram showing where this wire goes in the pinout sticky.

back again, I have tried pins 6 & 14 first in my adventure of connecting the obd port, but my friend's HP Tuners could not see/recognize the ECM (did show power). I am now trying to use pins 2 & 10 (if I read the interweb correctly) this should work, waiting for my friend to come back with the software...

On OBD connector
pin 2= serial data (think ls1 ,P59, P11,ecu's, Etc)
Pins 4 and 5 + ground
Pin 6 = can high
pin 14 =can low
Pin 16 = B+
Can buss is for later systems ( E67, E38, E39,E78 E92,E80, Etc)
You need to Know what ECU you have as there are different pin outs on ECU's
examples
E67 =J3-33 =can low, can high is J3-53
E39,E92 = J1-39 =can high, J1-40 is can low.
