How much space should i have between the tranny and the tunnel. Its a 68 w/ t56 if that matters. most of the trans has plenty of space but closer to the front of the tranny i can only fit about 1 finger between the tranny and tunnel.

you should be able to fit your hand over the top of the tranny, and be able to get to the bellhousing bolts for removal..i cut the tunnel out of mine..half of it anyway,havent fabricated a new one yet...
