Default TKO Trans Adapter?

I have a 2000 Mustang GT that is adequately modded but obviously being 20 years old, its lacking...

Doing some home work and starting to collect parts to properly do an LS swap. The car is tastefully modded with 4:10's, lightweight aluminum flywheel, upgraded clutch and lastly a TKO500 Transmission. I am trying to find an adapter needed to adapt the Ford Mustang TKO to the LS. Has anyone done this or could at least point me in the right direction?

Pretty sure you can just swap out the bellhousing to an LS TKO bellhousing.

The castings are the same on the Chevy and Ford TKO transmissions, but the bellhousing bolt hole patterns are drilled differently for each application (the transmission mount holes are also different dimensions but easily modifiable to accept either a GM or Ford style mount). The Ford TKO cases are drilled with the top loader transmission bellhousing pattern and the Chevy TKO cases are drilled with the Muncie bellhousing pattern. The Quicktime RM-6037 bellhousing is specifically designed to bolt a Ford TKO case to an LS engine.

I was hoping there was another way other than spending $750 on an adapter! Haha. Thank you for the info.

There's usually more than one way to skin a cat, but the Quicktime bellhousing is the only way that comes to mind at the moment.

On the TKO, you might want to check if you can swap out the input shaft from Ford to Chevy. Then drill/tap for the 621 chevy bell housing.
