I just took this off a few days ago and I've completely forgotten how it goes back together. This is the vacuum for the heater box on the inside. I'm pretty sure this clip was on this part, but honestly it's possible the clip goes to something else. I have drawn a complete blank. Does anyone have a picture or description?
Pretty sure that clip goes somewhere else. This is an S10 pickup so it may be different, but Ive seen a few of those Vacuum line connections and are all pretty much the same.
It should go on kind of sideways so that both of the openings in the clip are over the metal tube part, if you know what I mean. Hard to explain, but it just keeps the hose from being able to come off easily.

Thanks, after reading this I went out and looked at it and then what you said made sense. I remembered it after reading what you wrote there. I feel stupid I looked at this thing two different times and played with it and could not figure it out. Hahaha. Essentially the metal clip installs perpendicular to the way the hose installs. This was really holding me up, I couldn't reinstall the rest of the stuff inside the car until I figured this out.
