What options for shifter So I'm swapping an ls2/4l70e from a trailblazer ss into a 1994 dodge Dakota. The dakota had a manual trans, so theres no column shifter.
I'm wondering what options are available for a floor mount shifter that has a long enough arm for a truck. Or should I just swap the column for an auto and fab up a new linkage?

I'm swapping an LQ4/4L80E into my '89 S-10, and I'm going to try to use the shifter and parking brake from a Trailblazer.
I figured since the full size trucks (my engine came from a 2500HD 2wd) used both the 60E and 80E, that it should work
directly or require little modification. But I plan to build most of the interior myself, if that's beyond you, you could probably adapt
the TB center console (or part of it, if you have bench seats) more easily.

Are you wanting a shifter with the appearance of a manual, or a regular console type mounted shifter? Could always throw a B&M floor shifter in there.
