Default Need help...Converter spacing problems

I am trying to do a ls3 to a 400 transmission conversion. However when I installed the ptc converter I only end up with .150 spacing between the converter and the flywheel. All the articles I have read say I need a minimum on .250. I am using a prw dished flexplate with the adapter sleeve. What am I doing wrong. It is way to tight for my liking and I'm afraid I will wreck my pump upon start up.

I would check with PTC, but 0.150 sounds like it's right in the normal range to me.

Don't know where you're getting your info but .250" would be WAY to much.

At .150" you are good but that's what I would consider max.

Correction on the amount of clearance I have. I failed at fraction conversion. I have 1/16 of inch of clearance and need 1/8 of clearance. I've called PTC and PRW. Both say i should have at least 1/8 or more clearance with the parts I have.
