LS2 swap - no throttle movement
Original post below:
I swapped an LS2, 4l70e, e40 ecm, and t42 tcm from a 2006 TBSS into my 64' Cutlass last fall. Got busy with life in general for the past few months and haven't had time for my project. I have some time again to get this girl going.
Issue: Since day 1, I have had no throttle response (DBW).
All wires have been checked for ground and continuity, and pass.
Everything is from 2006 TBSS.
I borrowed my buddies real nice SnapOn scanner yesterday and here's some stuff I found.
- App/TSP sensors 1 and 2 both " agree "
- Both 5 volt references "pass"
- TAC MOTOR DISABLED
- voltage at rest .98v
- voltave at WOT 4.28V
- % at rest 0%
- % at WOT 99%
- Voltageat rest .06v
- voltage at WOT 0v
- % at rest 99%
- % at WOT 99%
- Voltage is 3.50v at both rest and WOT
- 23%
- Voltage is 1.46v at both rest and WOT
- 23%

If you want to try another TB, I have a TBSS (2007, I believe) throttle body on the shelf that you could borrow. I'm local to you (Oxford / Addison twp). But I don't have a pedal laying around.

I would love to borrow the TB as a test just to rule that out. Would there be any issue it being from an 07, and my setup being an 06? I know these systems are finicky!
I'm going to try and find some time this weekend to start testing more wires and following each associated one back to see if I can find any breaks.
I'll update again after. ,🤟

So just an update to close out this thread, I found the culprit. The pin in the C1 connector for the second 5v wasn't "in" all the way so there wasn't good connection to the pcm.
Fired her up and she screams through the entire rpm range. Now onto all the small things to get her on the road and to the track and May!
Thanks to everyone who helped out on this thread, or others, or those who loaned me parts (Haggar!).
Time for a beer 🍻
