Help diagnosing 05 vortec swap!!
I bought a 2005 L59 5.3L from a wrecking yard an a 4L60e (unknown year although it did have the earlier year park neutral single plug switch that I changed out with a later model dual plug switch) that I put into a 1967 Toyota Fj40. I used a 2wd transmission that I took the tail housing off and cut the output shaft down and used Advanced Adapters kit with clamp on reluctor ring and VSS to mate to my landcruiser transfer case. I reworked the harness my self and had the computer flashed.
My problem is that my vehicle thinks it is going 125 mph when it is going 35-40mph... Originally thought it was a bad VSS sensor so I changed it and it still does it. Then I thought it was my gaping between the VSS and reluctor gear so I checked it and reset it at 0.011" like Advanced Adapters recommended. Did not fix the issue. I then bought a new ECM from pick and pull and had that one re-flashed by someone else and it did not fix the issue. I tore my harness apart so check to see if I had a short somewhere and the harness looks great. Each time I had my ECM flashed I made sure to specify gear ratio, tire size, and what pulse per revolution my reluctor gear is. If i put my vehicle in drive and let off the brake to just coast, it thinks I am going 33mph.
Does anyone have any Ideas or has anyone ever encountered this before? TIA

having a similar issue in my mustang since i was showing crossing the traps at 125 but the slip said 105. found the settings for tire/gear was set to 30.1/3.73 and my car has 26/4.10. made my shift points goofy as well.
