GM connect and cruise
It is going to be an LS swapped vehicle. I want to stick with a 4L65/70 for a transmission as my newly restored tilt column only has provisions for a 4 speed automatic. Many years ago I swapped a 5.3/4L60 into a 4 wheel drive Jimmy and it was adequate at the time. I really would like an aluminum block/heads 6.0 or 6.2. Many of the low mileage engines are $5-8,000 and needing a harness and tune. The connect and cruise is about $15-16,000 with a warrantee, 4L70, harness and tune?
I have been unable to find additional information. Do these use an MAF? Any pro or cons to these? Anyone using one? Is the E rod a better option (I am in MA)
I am 58 and disabled so I want as turn key as possible but also wouldn't mind saving some $$$$
1 - Does the VIN inside the PCM have to match the vehicle VIN?
2 - Does EVAP have to be in place with the EEC fuel tank?
3 - Will the vehicle be considered as a 1972 vehicle or 2020?
Etc, etc . . . etc.
See if the Mass DMV web site has any mention of engine swaps.
Rick
