Extended crank after replacing battery. In 2015, I had my CutLS Dyno tuned. The vehicle started up like a normal car. 2 years ago, I was heading back from the racetrack and noticed my alternator stopped charging while I was over an hour from home and i had been driving on 11.5 volts.. Stopped in a small farming town and waited for my brother to bring me a deep cycle battery so I could make the trip home. I ended up getting a new battery and an alternator. I had not disconnected my battery in the 3 years since I had it tuned, but ever since I've had that issue, my vehicle cranks for probably 4 seconds before it will start. If it'll start. If it does an extended crank, I will sometimes throw a p1518 and have to clear it before the vehicle will run. I've followed the diagnostics for the code and it said to measure voltage or ground through the PCM (I can't remember what it was since it was a year ago). It wasn't what they wanted. Ran to U-Pull-R-Parts and grabbed a truck PCM with the same part number. The ground or voltage was the same so it wasn't the PCM. My guess is that it just looses communication or loss of power from the extended crank. Would I need it retuned or do you think a crankshaft variation learn will fix the extended crank?
