Hey guys I'm new to this but I was just wondering.....I just got my second ls for my next swap and I'm already a little lost ...so it is a 5.3 out of a 2005 gmc envoy with the e40 ecm and i can find any pin out info on it...my question is does anyone know if I can just do a dod delete and just use a ecm out of 2004 05 Chevrolet with the blue and green connectors will it work

That ECM is like a 2 year only ECM and has very little support and information on it. So you're thinking in the right direction about using a different ECM. I don't know whether that particular engine uses gen3 or gen 4 sensors. Does it have the cam sensor in the timing chain cover or it is in the block behind the intake manifold? Depending on which setup it has will determine which other ECM and harness you'll need to use it. If it's gen 4 then you're looking at having to get a pedal and tac module too.

I have the pin outs. I ended up with one of these too. I'm at work right now but can get them to you tomorrow.
