Default Need Help ! LM7 BMW E36 drift car.

How’s it going everybody, I’m new to the forms but not new to the car scene.

I have a 94 BMW 325 full blown out drift car with a LM7 out of a 2000 Silverado, I’m battling one issue and I want to know if anybody can help me out. I have a custom harness made and a tuned Pcm with everything deleted including emissions etc.
I recently finished doing the swap and everything seemed to fall into place, the car started right up with no problems And the car drove fine with no problems but on my second test drive the car started acting up. When I plugged in the scanner I get a p0118 code. I went with three different sensors with 2 being Duralast and the final one being a genuine GM sensor. The issue didn’t disappear so I started to diagnose the problem some more. I proceeded to go over the harness and noticed that the guy that made my harness had 5 V at both the signal wire and 5 V at the ground wire of the sensor, from Doing some research I realized that that’s Wrong and that only the signal wire should have the 5v and the ground just grounded to the pcm, so I processed to cut of the plug and wire the sensor straight to the pcm to eliminate a bad wiring job . I ran the signal to pin 74 and the ground to pin 41. I was getting super excited thinking i finally figured it out but in the end nothing changed. I don’t know where to look next And would think that the next step will To probably be look over the PCM because the PCM was pulled out of a junked Yukon that was exposed to the elements for the past 10 years , does anybody have anymore insight for me ? I would love to get this car out for the last few events of the season and would greatly appreciate the help .

Don't Know what "acting up" means in this case but I'll suggest a few things. First, really not sure that a faulty sensor in this case would cause the engine to run bad. Second, is there a bubble in the system and you just have not got it out? Third, if the temp sensor was wired wrong what are the chances of something else being wired wrong also? Last, double check all grounds.

acting up as in feeling like it’s missing . I’m surprised you said that a faulty sensor wouldn’t make the car run rough from what I hear a faulty ECT would make a car run very rough. I was thinking of the possibility of having a bubble in the system, having it my car has a rear mount radiator Could leave me with the possibility of Poorly bleeding the system. I was actually thinking about that today and will probably have to stop by AutoZone on Harbor freight and get a bleeder and see if that will help, but would you really say that a bubble in the system will cause the ECT to act up.?

I said "really not sure" which is not a statement of fact, besides 3 sensors should rule that out. If you are having misfires, then shoot the temps of the headers to find which one is running cooler than the rest. Maybe a wire to the coil has a bad connection. One way to narrow it down.

Yeah but I’m not getting any other codes besides the coolant temperature code. Everything else seems to be running fine besides just the ECT. I’m getting a Live Data scanner today so I can c exactly what temp is the Ect is reading along with bleeding the coolant system some more .
