Another hydroboost question
Today I bled the brakes, fired the car up and bled the power system with the car on the lift. Plenty of stop-to-stop wheel turns & the steering feels smooth.
I have great power assist from the new hydroboost. Brakes feel awesome compared to the old vacuum stuff.
Problem is noise. Groan/whine when applying hard pedal. Friend says the sound comes form the pump but I also hear it int the booster (I think).
Hoped it was air and would go away, but it’s run for a while and I even took it for a short drive. It’s essentially the noise you hear when steering wheel is turned to full lock.
Started wondering if the flow restrictor on the pump is causing this? Thought maybe I could plum one between the brake booster and the T-bird rack instead? This would put full flow to the brake booster?
I’m hoping someone has put the hydroboost on a car with the T-bird rack and has some advice?
Appreciate any help!
