Default My s10 build thread

Started project in December. Someone has set up truck for sbc, so I picked up a 350 700r4 combo. Fitted engine, headers and y pipe, then decided to change directions. Putting in the ls has been a major pain so far. Still working on it. Ordered some new mounts to try before I get trans crossmember finished and move to exhaust. Hopefully when I get that all fitted I'll blow apart for paint. Getting more excited.

Mounts came with no instructions. The engine fits better with them this way and have clearance where I need. Do they look normal?

The first pictures got me all nostalgic. My first car at 16 was an s-10 with a 350 in it.

Mine was a 2d blazer and it was silly fast and dangerous with a 180-200hp. Any LS engine should be an absolute riot.

Finally ano6step closer. Just trying to make sure I have driveline angles right. I just have to clearance headers and refit the y pipe I made for sbc, then I'll blow it apart to paint and start final assembly.

Got my exhaust finished up, everything test fitted. Still working on getting hydroboost to fit right. Had to order a new firewall bracket. Getting ready to paint firewall and get ready to set engine in for the last time! Slow going but making steps forward.
