Default ly6 throttle pedal

Hello to all. I installed a LY6/TR6060 into a 1968 C10. I installed an aftermarket harness with the engine. When I power the harness and the engine (Key, Ignition Power), I am unable get throttle response. The throttle blade moves initially, but will not respond when i push the throttle pedal. I have both the truck pedal and a corvette pedal, installed them both, and get the same result. Will the throttle blade open and close with out the engine running as it responds to the ecm and pedal? Thanks in advance, Clark.

Mine responds to the pedal even if the engine is off, so long as the ECM is powered and ign is on. If you have an OBD2 reader, you can also check to see if it is sensing throttle position. I have a wifi reader and the Torque App and there is an option to log throttle position.

You might also want to make sure any codes are cleared between trying either pedal. If you find the vette pedal works but the truck doesnt, or visa-versa, then you can swap pins D&F on the connector to use the other pedal.

Default Throttle pedal

Thanks for your reply. So basically, once the pcm has 12v+ battery and 12v+ ignition power, the throttle pedal should respond. I got it.

Yes, correct. At least that's what happens on my 2007+ Silverado 2500HD LY6 E38 PCM. Engine does not have to be running and the throttle body response to the pedal when battery and ignition power are supplied to the PCM.

Default LY6 throttle pedal

The foot pedal wiring diagram you posted seems to be off. I’m having trouble understanding it. I do know that the car foot pedal (corvette/ Camaro) is different from the truck pedal, pins d and f. I bought both foot pedals, have exchanged both pedals to see if either pedal would respond, work, and neither pedal works. Maybe one of pedals are defective. I will change the pins in the harness and see what happens. The harness I have is set up for the car pedal.

My pedal matches the above pinout and came out of an 08 GMC Savanna with an LY6.

I know this probably wont be much help but I had the very same problem you had when I installed my pedal my blade would open and close but with it running I got nothing.
I continued on tinkering with other things and one day it just started working. I'm just now finishing up my swap and with it not being tuned at all minus a VAT delete I can tell you with the little time I've let it run it will sometimes lose connection for the pedal, but staying running. My guess would be it has less to do with the pinout and something along the lines of ECM control? I know its not an answer but maybe your knowledge is better than mine but I can tell you the pinout for a truck pedal is correct.

Default LY6 Throttle Pedal

@TheBandit and @Nawcor thanks for your replys. The replys motivated me to keep going. I played around with both pedals and was able to get pedals to respond to the throttle. All I have to do is mount the truck pedal, It doesn’t throw out as far as the car pedal, and finish the swap, Thanks again my car tech friends
