So what's the deal . Info I have is it's needed for
4l80 with a flat flywheel . Other people are trying with out it but with a converter spacer . One guy destroyed his trans . Any body have reliable info ?

 

what engine and what is it from, same with the transmission. What’s it out of?

I had to use an adapter to run a th400 with my LS.. but that’s because the th400 converter needed it.

 

My buddy put a 4.8 with a t400
Supposedly used a dished flywheel with a little converter ring . Said no spacer needed with converter . Trans broke apart on dyno . Seems there is converters out there made for a dished( 4l60) flywheel ?
