Dual in / Dual out Muffler

Would appreciate some recommendations for a 2.5" dual in / dual out muffler for 98 step-side S10 with mildly built L33. I know muffler tone is subjective so what I'm look for is a mellow tone, not too loud and no drone...I'm I asking too much from this type of muffler?

Flowmaster and Magnaflow make a variety of 2.5" dual in/out mufflers. Go to their websites and check out product lines.

Yes, I have checked several brands. I was hoping someone using one would give their opinion on sound quality.

Whether dual in/out, single in/dual out, or dual in/single out, the tone of the mufflers I mention don't change much. Flowmaster has different series with varying sound levels, from obnoxious to near stock. Magnaflow is mellow, and depends on its length for sound level variation..

When I did my 99 BMW LS swap I used the Magna Flow with dual in and out. No drone but a little loud for my tastes until I added dual cats. Sounded good.

I used a Wagner dual in dual out designed for the 87 Buick Grand national. Cheap, great sound, especially at idle. Designed for a traverse mount in front of the rear axle. Rock Auto has them.
