Default 93 Jeep YJ 5.3 Swap

Hey guys I just wrapped up a swap in a 93 wrangler. I found most of the information i used in my swap on this forum so I figured Id share my build in the hopes it help someone else out. I am 96% done and have some bugs still to work out. The I ended up doing a complete restoration of the jeep.

1999 5.3 with 4l60e and atlas transfer case. I used mostly parts from NOVAK conversions

This is what I started with

The Novak motor mounts made it pretty simple to get the motor mocked up and burned in.

Test fitting the front dana 60

Making all new steering linkage to clear the 5.3 was interesting but Im pretty happy with how it came out.

The rear 14 bolt all tacked in place.

This was the first time it was standing on its own two feet.

Up next was tearing it down and sending it off to paint. My boys loved getting dirty working on the old jeep.

This was the hardest part of the build for me. Thinning out the old wiring harness was a PITA but well worth it in the end.

Needed a place to add the Winters shifter and transfer case shifters.

I made up some brackets for the Steering and trans coolers. Time will tell if the trans cooler will be enough to keep it cool.
