Fuel Check valve location
Fuel Check valve location I'm installing a check valve into my fuel system. I'm running the Corvette regulated fuel filter. Should I install the check valve in the inlet port before the filter or after the filter on the main line? The only thing I can think of if it is after the filter, that should keep the main line pressurized, if the filter ever drained back for some reason.
Not sure I understand the need for a check valve. In my way of thinking what happens if there is a leaky injector? Wouldn't it be best not to have pressure on the system when not in use?
All (most) systems have a check valve in the fuel pump but mine had just failed and would struggle to prime enough fuel pressure to start the vehicle. I'm replacing the pump and adding a check valve to keep the pressure.
