I'll start off with this is the first thread I've started here, mainly due to the fact I don't yet own am LS engine... BUT, I have, and am in the process of grafting some LS parts to my Pontiac. It has d585 coils on it for sequential spark, and I'm getting ready to select an LS throttle body for it. That's where the folks here come in hopefully. Back story, I have a Super Victor efi manifold I've been using since I went to efi, with a dominator flanged accufab 4 barrel style throttle body. I want to switch to an LS style throttle body on this Holley elbow. Not doing dbw, need a cable version.

it will accept up to a 105mm LS style throttle body.. Curious if anyone would be willing to recommended one. The engine is a 467 Pontiac, max rpms are 6000. Heads flow 320 at my valve lift. I probably don't need a 105mm, but I have no problem tuning the tip in with the big Dominator TB(2200 cfm available) I have no experience with these style so I have no frame of reference. If anyone wants to share any "rules of thumb" or similar about horsepower capability of the different size TB'S that are available for LS engines that would be great too. Pretty much anything would be helpful, brands you like for aftermarket versions, or a stock one that would work well in my application. Oh, and basically I'm doing this change to try to help an easier time with running a cold air system that looks good, and if possible get back to a stock style hood. Car has a 4" cowl induction hood now. I put this in the hybrid section, if thats not acceptable, my apologies, and mods feel free to move it.

 

The 102mm is perfectly fine. Even a 90 is going to be fine.

Thanks. This project will be delayed now as an ebay seller claimed to have the elbow in stock, but was waiting on Holley like everyone else. Any brand recommendations? I see most of the reasonably priced ones are made in China... Not looking for top of the line as this isn't a max effort type car. But quality is important.
